This is exactly what people are wondering as Chase absorbed WaMu and Wells Fargo took over Wachovia. And, especially in the case of Chase, the new banks are rolling out big ad campaigns to let everyone know they’ve come to town. So SunTrust had a unique opportunity: Switch disenfranchised bank customers to new SunTrust accounts and reassure existing SunTrust customers that they’re still banking on solid ground. enter the tagline: “WaMu is now chase. SunTrust is still SunTrust.” We roll out this campaign in markets chase is entering as they ramp up advertising efforts.
